Halloween Nails

Halloween's this coming Thursday and i hope you'll be heading out to party! For me, nails are just as important as the costume you're about to flaunt during the Halloween party.

And here are some ideas on these Halloween nails!

Candy corn nails
You may be too old to trick-or-treat but that doesn't mean you can't score a handful of sweets. Halloween's most famous dessert can be recreated by painting on just three horizontal stripes.

Ghost nails
These ghost nails are perfect for you nail art beginners out there -- if your dots are sloppy, no one will notice. We suggest opting for glow-in-the-dark base paint to make the mani extra ghoulish.

Mummy nails
Lazy girls, this one is for you. This fun mummy design just takes a layer of squiggly lines and two eyes. If you don't want to draw the peepers, nab some Googly eyes for a 3D alternative.

Frankenstein nails
Paying tribute to the most famous monster of all time isn't as tough to pull off as you might think. Since ugly is Frankenstein's claim to fame, you definitely don't need a steady hand to draw his frazzled hair and frightful stitches.

Claw nails
Dressing up as a cat, a werewolf, or even Lady Gaga? Here's a great way to fake pointy talons -- without actually cutting your nails. Just be sure to select a nude shade that's close to your skin tone for the most realistic effect.

till then, have fun this Halloween!

Back to Basics at Number76, Bangsar

I shall blog about my recent visit to Number76 :)
I've been there a couple of times, mostly to repair my horrendous damaged hair due to extensive bleaching :\
I was glad i went to Number76, because if i didn't my hair would prolly catch fire now because it was so damaged and dry.

Previously I've bleached my hair countless of times, dyed my hair twice a month (having pink hair needed maintenance) and it was from all from my previous hair salon, before i went to Number76.

ombre and neon pink stripes back in March 2013

So, a month before i went Number76, i had my hair dyed brown (at another salon). which made it worse because my hair didn't have enough care and i was hurting it bad. real bad :(

And yeah, I went to the branch over at Bangsar looking for a possible saviour. and I found Amy :) She's too nice and funny haha.

During my first visit, I told Amy I wanted to dye my hair + add turquoise highlights lol. Amy said she didn't want to because my hair was too damaged. Hence, my constant ultrasonic hair treatment over there. It's too bad i didn't take any picture of how bad my hair was with all the split ends. ugh!

Anyhoooo, last Sunday i went over there again because my hair was decent enough to dye. I was so happy because I hated my black roots. double ugh!

I told her i wanted dark ash brown. LOL keeping it on a down low. it's cuz i've been having lighter hair for some time, and i always like to switch it here and there :)

haha and yeap, i'm very happy with my ash brown hair wheeee. She made my hair feel so soft and shiny because i added hair collagen and i did the Milbon treatment
Thank you Amy :)

Perhaps i'm going back there to change another colour in 2 months lol I get bored easily with my hair colour.

Oh and here's a shameless camwhore picture of myself. PEACE!

haha toodles!

Triple Layer Brownies

Mondays aren't depressing when you have brownies! and what's more awesome than odinary brownies? TRIPLE LAYER BROWNIES - by Lovely Little Kitchen.

I stumbled upon Julie's website this morning and i got amazed instantly. Now i want these brownies!

Pictures and recipe by Lovely Little Kitchen.

Julie decided to try baking these in her square muffin tin because it is difficult to get the brownie layer baked all the way without overcooking the cookie dough on top. The individual muffins, having less “middle” than a 9 x 13 baking dish, solves this little issue. It also helps to let the brownie layer bake for eight minutes before adding the cookie dough… gives them a little head start.

The bottom layer is the chocolate covered graham cookie.

Then you add the brownie batter.

Break up your chocolate chip cookie dough into small pieces.

And add the crumbles of dough to your slightly baked brownies.

Serves: 19 brownies
INGREDIENTS
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Prepare chocolate chip cookie dough according to directions and chill.
  2. Prepare brownie mix according to directions on the box. Follow the “fudge like” brownie direction if there is an option.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  4. Prepare a square shaped muffin tin by greasing it thoroughly. On the bottom of each section, place two chocolate covered graham cookies side by side. I used a sharp knife to trim one cookie to allow them to fit nicely together. Be careful not to squeeze them in too tightly, or it will be difficult to remove the finished brownie after baking.
  5. With an ice cream scoop, top each section of graham cookies with brownie batter.
  6. At this point, bake the brownies for 8 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven, and top with “crumbles” of cookie dough.
  8. Put them back in the oven and bake for an additional 12-15 minutes.
  9. Allow the brownies to cool for at least 15 minutes before trying to remove them from the pan. Loosen the edges with a toothpick or butter knife to release them from the pan.

Hi Genting!

ah Genting :) the place where everyone (or most) has been to.
I was glad that i had the chance to bring these 27 bloggers for a day trip to Genting for the Tourism Malaysia project called Travel Bloggers to Travel Vloggers (TB2TV). Basically they're promoting travel vlogging.
I'm not much of a vlogger, but i would love to vlog!
so, LEGGO!

Poor eyebags.

Here are some of the places we went. Not all is blogged tho haha.

1) Chin Swee Temple
Love this place. Try to stay here for a night and you'll have a good night rest.
It's just so peaceful here.

It was quite misty when we arrived, so we couldn't take clearer pictures.

2) Bubbles & Bites
EAT! Yes, Malaysians eat. a lot. What more to let them try Bubbles & Bites
So yeah, by then it about 1.30pm and pretty much everyone were starving.

The Menu (Part of it)
i find the prices are reasonable enough :)

this is my favourite. Home Styled Mac 'N' Cheese. this is seriously to die for. the amount of cheese is WOAH. #whatdiet

What's life if there aren't any desserts?
We requested for this as it's something new at Bubbles and Bites. Banana puree with vanilla icecream waffles all stacked up like that. holyyyyy madness

LET'S EAT.

3) Snow World
Snow in Malaysia? hell yeah! in snow world, the temperature's -6degrees. don't worry if you'll freeze to death or not because winter jackets, gloves and boots are available :)

I could actually fit in to a kid's jacket. I prefer it because the adult ones were TOO LONG :(

With Kodi from Australia (left) and Greg from UK (right)

These guys were so crazy they'll smack a pile of snow right at your face without a second thought. Just when you want to yell at them, they smack another pile of snow at your face. again. -_-"

Kenix and i :)

3) Genting Club
Genting's new and exclusive club, to cater for the elites.
Love the ambience.

4) Halloween Horror Spirits 2
Link: http://www.rwgenting.com/en/themepark/halloween/index.htm
Genting is having this Halloween event starting from the 19th October till the 27th October.
I thought it'll be like a bunch of people dressed up as zombies but woah i was wrong. it was so cool, the decorations and loud background music playing. Felt like i was in a zombie-infested town.
With the other bloggers constantly scaring me weren't helping either :(

Hello creepy little girl who plays soccer.

The Good Batch, Damansara Uptown

A new cafe in town! It officially opened on the October 10th.
It's located at the same row with Wondermilk and Fat Spoon Cafe, and directly opposite the bus station.

When Lyndy suggested this place, I was so happy because they serve breakfast all day.
We went over after work, hence the dark lighting :(

Juvin on the left, and Lyndy on the right

Loving their simple deco :)

I had a hard time deciding what to order because everything felt so good! I really wanted to try the Parisiene but it was late and they ran out of  French toast, i think? so i settled for Mexican
The waitresses were all really cheerful. So, a thumbs up!

Cappuccino and Latte

Juvin's Hangover Mess (RM20.90++)
HOLY MOLY MACARONI JESUS. nuff said.

I had the Mexican (RM23.90++)
It's this "roti canai" version of a burrito. I have to apologize tho, because they have guacamole in the wrap and for some weird reason i dislike it. I had a hard time telling the waitress that i don't want guacamole in my wrap. lol but she was trying her best to understand what i meant.
nevertheless, my mexican/malaysian burrito was AWESOME <3 it was like having roti canai, crispy chicken and scrambled eggs all in one dish. ah bliss!

Will definitely visit again :)

The 23 Most Amazing Feelings A Woman Can Experience

By CHELSEA FAGAN

I came across this article and it's so true (well, most of it). hah. have a good laugh!
after all, it's Thursday. ONE MORE DAY TO TGIF :)

1. When another girl gives you a compliment, especially when said girl has what you perceive to be excellent taste levels, and the compliment is made about something that you worked really hard on (such as a painstaking blowout).

2. When you try on something in a size smaller (either because it’s the only one left, or you’re feeling zesty) and it actually fits. Do not feel bad if this leads you to do sexy poses and/or an endzone dance in the dressing room, as both of these are perfectly appropriate reactions.

3. Getting the very last adorable sale item, which is both perfectly your size and completely unscathed by gross makeup stains from a billion girls trying it on before you.

4. Going up to the cash register and finding out that said sale item is, in fact, more discounted than you thought it was and you are paying less than what you had already mentally prepared yourself to pay.

5. When you are sexually active, and your period comes right on time.

6. When your period waits until after a big event or vacation to come. Also when it happens at a time when you are completely able to deal with it and not, say, at work, or asleep on white sheets. (No one wants to wake up to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre on the crotch area of their bedding.)

7. Having one of those multiple-hour-long phone calls or Skype sessions with a girlfriend where you catch up on everything that has happened since you last spoke, and there isn’t a moment of dead air or small talk.

8. Going out to eat with a girlfriend who is totally non-judgy and awesome about food, where you can both order whatever you want and not have to worry about putting a weird disclaimer on every thing you put in your mouth.

9. Arriving home at the end of the day and immediately removing your bra, often without taking off your shirt. (The next step is, of course, flinging the bra across the room with complete abandon and hoping it lands on a chair so you don’t have to go pick it up off the floor.)

10. Getting within a block of your apartment after a long night out in agonizing heels, and reaching that “Fuck it, hope there aren’t any hypodermic needles on this city street” moment where you just take off your shoes and let your wounded little feet walk home barefoot.

11. Finishing your second glass of white wine and feeling that perfect amount of buzzed that makes you believe you’re a bored housewife whose hobbies include smoking those weird, skinny cigarettes and fucking younger men.

12. Using a high-quality vibrator for the first time. *Raises hand and closes eyes as if in church*

13. Receiving an item of clothing or an accessory as a gift that you actually love and would have bought for yourself.

14. Being just the right amount of twisted to really appreciate hearing such things as “Turn My Swag On” by Soulja Boy, and having it come on at the bar at that exact moment.

15. Dancing in a circle with all of your girlfriends and not even caring that someone is going to make a comment about how you all look like an anthropomorphic Dane Cook joke, because fuck the haters.

16. Having the whole public bathroom to yourself when you have to do a number two, so that you don’t have to do that horrible “silent stand-off” with the woman two stalls down from you.

17. Finding a porn that actually does something for you, as opposed to the vast majority of porn, which just gives you a vague feeling of “That poor woman’s vagina, why?”

18. Getting your nails done and feeling, if even for that fleeting moment when you walk out of the salon, like you finally have your shit together and can take on the whole world with your flawless, professional nails.

19. Successfully managing a hairdo that withstands an entire day’s worth of use and doesn’t start slowly falling as the bobby pins dig into your head from every angle.

20. Finding a shampoo that repairs your split ends and doesn’t require you to spend half your paycheck every time you need a new bottle.

21. Getting a head massage while having your hair washed before a cut. Mmmm, shampoo massages. Mmmm.

22. When you are out drinking in some sort of outdoor scenario and you have to go pee and, like some kind of urinating guardian angel, another girl is like “I’ll go cover for you if you cover for me,” and then the two of you go pee together in some discreet corner.

23. Going to bed with a guy (or girl) you really like for the first time, and finding that — in addition to be this awesome, perfect person that you are so, so into — they actually know how to go down on a girl, and don’t just indiscriminately nibble on your lady bits until you fake an orgasm. This is the moment where you have a silent hi five with Jesus, and thank him for always looking out for you, even though you’re kind of a mess
